Self-taught musician, DJ, and producer Cristian Viviano, born in Palermo in 1987, can definitely be described as a versatile and inspired artist. When listening to his sets, which are engaging and filled with positive energy, it is impossible not to notice the strong sense of empathy he shares with his audience.
His love for music originated in the streets, influenced by funky and hip-hop culture. Through his personal exploration of musical technology, he gravitated towards a heavily tribal-influenced techno and house rhythm, achieved through the use of sequencers, synthesizers, and drum machines.
Over the years, Cristian has performed at renowned clubs and parties worldwide, including Fabric in London, Gazgolder and Rodnya in Moscow, Amnesia, Pacha, Ushuaia, Blue Marlin, and Destino in Ibiza, Heart in Miami, Kulturclub in Mainz, Scorpios in Mykonos, Movement festival in Croatia and many more. Cristian has released music on respected labels such as Hottrax, Paradise, Get Physical, Plant74, My Favorite Robot, Tenax, and his own label, Descending Order. His music is supported by some of the best artists in the world....
In 2011, Cristian spearheaded the Pleiadians Ibiza movement, organizing events featuring esteemed artists as Ricardo Villalobos, Arpiar, Sven Vath, , Marco Carola, Tobi Neumann and many others. He also became a member of the COCOLINO project created by SIS. They started collaborating in Ibiza after finding common points of view based on respect for good music. The 2012 begins with very important gigs around Europe, Spain, Italy, Russia, Germany, Croatia, United Kingdom he had also its own party at club Punta Arabi Ibiza during the summer season. Cristian's first album "As old as young" on his own label “Descending Order” became reality in November, the release had a great reaction from the underground scene. During 2013 and 2014 he released his second album (From Darkness to Light) and appears on labels such as Safari Electronique, Natural Rhythm, Fventi, Lapsus music, one of his works (Poetic Effusion) has been selected from Paco Osuna for the Enter Compilation released by Minus recordings. Cristian played for the best clubs of the white island, such as Pacha, Destino, Sankeys, Blue Marlin, Ushuaia and many more.
In 2016 Cristian starts his new live project, SOLWINGS whose name is an homage to Cristian’s young daughter Marisol, is meant to embody his idea of diffusing light and love through music. Analog equipment and eclectic influences seamlessly blend with mystic voices and ethnic sources, giving shape to the peculiar sound of the band. The various collaborations with many artists and musicians make this a unique project. It is also certainly one of the best year with important international appearances such as: Movement Festival (Croatia), Heart Nightclub (Miami), Scorpios (Mykonos), In Ibiza, he played as headliner at Blue Marlin, Pacha and Destino.
2017 brings some big news, Cristian signs one of his works “Paradise” for the well known Canadian label My Favorite Robot records. His works "DAUGHTER" and "CREATURES OF THE NIGHT" released on his own label Descending Order have been played from all the biggest of the scene. He was contacted from the Master Andrea Morricone (Ennio Morricone's Son) and he was involved on an Andrea's electronic music project, he spent several months in the studio with the Maestro, and they become very good friends, making great music and having good times, they have decided to combine two musical worlds, breaking all prejudice and giving a free expression to their music, the two mix styles between electronic and classical, where the old meets the new with a message of love, hope and unity. In 2018 the ibiza season was very intense and full of big things, one of those the four gigs at Music On day show and the summer residency at Ibiza Talents at El Patio, and he also released the first single of his project Solwings on the well known Berlin based label Get Physical music climbing the beatport top 100.
2019’s most important appearances were at Amnesia Ibiza for Luciano’s party Vagabundos and he also played at one of the best European’s festival Dream Beach in Villaricos (Spain). During the pandemic years, Cristian worked on his first sample pack (available on loop masters), improved his techniques in the studio and "NEVER GIVE UP" his first single, fruit of the collaboration with Maestro Andrea Morricone and the American singer Bess Greenberg [KidBess] was released on his own label Descending Order.
Throughout his career, Cristian has achieved significant accolades, including winning a Beatport remix competition for Moon Harbour. In 2009 he was awarded the "Trend Award" as Top Italian Dj Young, in December '21 he creates the music for the Sicily project, an immersive installation by the artist DDA at the Expo Dubai for the Sicilian Region, in March '22 he participates in the sicilian reflection project, an immersive art exhibition that lasted six months inside the Teatro Politeama Garibaldi in Palermo, where his music together with the Maestro Morricone were mixed together with the immersive visual art.
His track "Sotto i Portici," released on his label in July '22, received strong support from Jamie Jones and Marco Carola, capturing Jamie's attention. In October, Cristian signed with HOTTRAX and released "Mastafunka," which climbed the charts and garnered backing from Damian Lazarus, Chloe Caillèt, Steve Lawler, and many others.
In early 2024, Jamie confirmed him for a release on Paradise Music titled "Somebody," which quickly ascended the Beatport House charts.
That summer, Cristian joined Adam Ten and Mita Gami's project, Maccabi House. After discovering a special musical connection with them, he began performing gigs together in Ibiza and had a b2b set with Adam in Los Angeles for Mayan Warrior and Stranger Than. In October, his release on their label, "Gamma Project," reached the top 10 in the indie dance category, receiving worldwide support!
Cristian is focused on his label Descending Order and his new live band project called "Cristian Viviano and the Dvmmies."
